Char-Broil is America’s oldest grill brand. We are a family-owned manufacturer of grills and grill accessories based in Columbus, Georgia, USA. Char-Broil is a leading brand in the US market for gas barbecues and distributes outdoor cooking appliances across Canada, Latin America, Australia, and Europe.

Our European office in the Netherlands is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Customer Service Manager and play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. This includes handling incoming service cases, working closely with relevant teams to find quick and practical solutions. Additionally, the role involves managing order processing, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.

This position is office-based in the Netherlands, with occasional flexibility required for travel and extended working hours depending on business needs.

Job requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to inquiries related to order status, shipments, pricing, and inventory availability.

  • Manage end-to-end order processing including order entry, routing, shipment scheduling, and delivery coordination.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and escalation of customer issues, ensuring timely problem resolution and corrective actions.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Demand Planning, Production, Logistics, and Credit teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

  • Utilize SAP and other systems to analyze customer data, generate reports, and ensure compliance with routing and carrier guidelines.

  • Process Direct Import orders including data entry, pick release, manual order processing, and creation of advance shipping notices.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed customer invoices and payment documentation tailored to specific customer requirements.

  • Provide accurate and timely customer reports and spreadsheets as requested.

  • Continuously improve product knowledge and customer service skills through ongoing training.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Customer Service or order management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and comfortable using ERP systems, preferably SAP.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and/or English; Dutch language skills are a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Flexible with working hours and occasional travel for training or customer visits.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
